London's Longevity Hotspots
What do Victoria Beckham, Karlie Kloss and the Delevingne sisters have in common? Apart from stellar careers, covetable wardrobes and homes we can only dream of, the stars have all checked into Lanserhof, the sought-after medical spa retreat.
With outposts in Austria's mountainous Lans, Germany’s Lake Tegernsee and the country’s coastal island of Sylt, Lanserhof was banging the drum for longevity long before it was the wellness word on everyone’s lips.
“Longevity is a hot topic because it empowers us to take control of our risk of developing diseases of ageing through medical and lifestyle interventions before we become sick,” says Dr Philip Borg, founder of The Longevity Doctor, London’s only clinic led by an American board-certified anti-ageing specialist.
Lanserhof’s approach to longevity helps clients cheat the passing of time by combining state-of-the-art medical science with natural healing methods. The clinic tells hello!: “We’re not only treating illnesses, but also promoting health at a deeper level and maintaining it long-term.”
The luxury retreat, which has been running for over 40 years, describes itself as a “pioneer of a new health culture, creating space for recovery, self-reflection and sustainable change”.
Where they lead, others follow. Other health resorts, including Austria’s Mayrlife (frequented by Sarah, Duchess of York), Switzerland’s Paracelsus Recovery and, closer to home, London’s Grey Wolfe, all focus on supporting the longevity and healthspans of their wealthy clientele.
Lanserhof’s most popular offering is the Cure Classic programme, priced from €2,890 (around £2,460), which combines nutritional coaching, infusion therapies, detox treatments and psychological support.
Thanks to the focus on longevity in 2025, the retreat has also developed a programme – aptly named Longevity - devoted to slowing down the biological causes of ageing.
A customised treatment plan, designed to maintain each client’s health and vitality, is tailored to their genetic, cellular and metabolic needs.
Pioneering Therapies
Maintaining its position at the forefront of this new era in health, Lanserhof has also introduced blood purification therapy, from €5,942, which it says "enables the removal of chemical and toxic substances, such as heavy metals, inflammatory mediators and other disease-promoting compounds”.
The actor Orlando Bloom is a fan of the therapy. He booked in for a £10,000 treatment at London’s Clarify Clinic earlier this month and told his seven million followers on Instagram about his experience.
With the advent of weight - loss drugs, Lanserhof has also debuted the Weight Loss Injection Management Programme, from €5,285, at its location in Lans. The programme looks at how weight-loss drugs affect the gut microbiome and offers protocols to support digestive health and long-term wellbeing.
Other new options include comprehensive sleep therapy, from €5,655, plus a device that can detect early signs of osteoporosis and a diagnostic tool created to detect and prevent skin conditions.
As you’d expect from a clinic that Victoria Beckham has said she loves, Lanserhof does not lack a sense of luxury. According to the clinic: “Luxury is not an extra, but an expectation. The luxury at the resorts is never loud or opulent, but quiet, discreet and well thought-out – it creates a framework for concentration, peace and inner clarity. The interiors are flooded with light and minimalist in design, deliberately pared down to leave room for the essentials: regeneration and self-focus.”
In an increasingly loud world, the tranquillity, natural beauty and sense of space delivered by Lanserhof certainly sounds appealing.
